What To Know About the 1.5.1 EA FC 26 Patch

Keith AnthonyBy Keith AnthonyApril 16, 2026

On March 23rd of this year, EA launched the 1.5.1 title patch to EA FC 26 that fixed a ton of bugs and added some new customization and gameplay features. This patch affects all platforms with the most prominent additions being in the Career mode and even new Broadcast packages. However, the biggest part of the update are the Real Face scans. These are scans of real players and managers being added to the game as a collaboration. Here is everything new in this patch and what this means for EA FC 26.

    All Career Mode Fixes

A bunch of bug fixes have been added within the Career Mode for EA FC 26. Lots of players have been reporting on these bugs for months or even since the game’s release. Some are more minor like the players’ boots, which would remain the same for the entire match no matter what customization you’ve enabled. Others are more extreme such as Leagues becoming unavailable during Challenges. Want to get better at those challenges though? Manager Live Player Boot Fix

A bug was found since the release of EA FC 26 which affected the players in a Squad’s boots. When in the Career Manager mode while watching a match, every player would have matching boots. This bug would take effect no matter what custom boots you’ve enabled.

    Role Growth Development Plan Bug

Whenever you would check the Role Growth Development Plan on your players, the Role Growth Percentage would disappear. This heavily affected how players would be tracked along with how they get PlayStyle+ traits.

    Leagues During Challenges

When replacing teams during Challenges, Leagues would become unavailable to view or select. This caused issues over viewing team information and trying to switch teams for better gameplay.

Players Out of Position (Manager Mode)

When in Manager Mode and viewing a match through the screens, a bug was found where players would be out of position. This would conflict with the planned formations or what was actually happening during said matches.

    Incorrect Scout Report Values

Scout Reports would have inaccurate values which affected how players would behave during matches.

    Updated Injury Selection

Injury selection for players affecting their resting times has been updated to improve variety and realism.

    Qualification Zone Adjustments

The Qualification Zone for certain Challenges or features have been adjusted to improve participation rates.

    New Celebrations and Boots

Along with the bug fixes, several new boots and celebrations have been added to EA FC 26. The celebrations can be equipped to different players whenever a score is made. These celebrations are usually based on real-life famous celebrations caught on camera! The same inspiration comes from a lot of these boot designs with famous players seen wearing them.

    • Dub – Paul Pogba

    New Broadcast Packages

Broadcast packages are special customization options that you can select for your leagues and Ultimate Teams. They change your match overlays, the team walkouts, and even the stadium and scoreboard looks. There were a lot of predictions made over what Broadcast packages would be added next, and we have one! It’s themed from UEFA Women’s Champions League which players can now select.

Not only do the broadcast packages affect the look of menus and overlays during matches, but also how the matches themselves are captured. Unique cinematic camera angles are always a delight to see, and you’re sure to see them here!

    The New Real Faces

The Real Faces refer to the face scans almost every player in EA FC 26 uses to represent their real-life counterparts.
