Gold Rush has grown to become one of the top reality shows on the Discovery Channel. However, some original cast members have left the show, including gold prospector Todd Hoffman. Still, he remains a business-minded person, currently pursuing multiple endeavors and a new series, “Hoffman Family Gold”. As of 2022, Todd Hoffman has a net worth of $7 million.

    Early Life

Hoffman is originally from Sandy, Oregon. He was born on January 1, 1970 and has a sister named Tamra. His mother is Georgia, and his father is Jack Hoffman, a fellow reality TV star with a net worth of $4 million.

Because Todd’s father worked as a gold prospector in the 80s, he learned about mining at an early age. Jack always dreamed of becoming a wealthy miner, and this became an inspiration to Todd.

However, before he tried digging for gold, he purchased a small airport in his hometown. It was how he planned to build his fortune. But after some time, the airport became less and less productive.

    Mining Career

Todd chose to move to Porcupine Creek, Alaska, with a group of six unemployed friends. Their plan was to find gold and establish a new settlement in the wild where they could all live off the grid.

Eventually, the Hoffman crew became a part of Discovery Channel’s Gold Rush. They starred in the first season, and many of their gold findings were documented in the series.

He was also featured in some of the franchise’s spin-offs. Most of his men left his operation in season five, but he kept mining with his father. Three seasons later, in 2018, the Hoffman’s decided to leave the long-running series as Todd wanted to pursue a singing career.

    Further Pursuits

After leaving Gold Rush, Todd Hoffman invested his mining profits in different businesses. He is currently spending time on his newfound passion, music. He uploads song covers onto YouTube.

He co-founded Zum Media Productions. Todd also put his money into the production and finance company Gold Standard Television. With ties to the media production industry, he got to start his new show “Hoffman Family Gold” in 2022. This also means that he is making a return to mining.

The mining expert invested in three wash plants and equipment worth $1 million. Furthermore, he is making an effort to help out local communities with a substance treatment facility.

    Net Worth and Earnings

It is reported that most of Hoffman’s wealth was built through his appearances in Gold Rush. When he was still on the show, he was making $50,000 every episode. He hasn’t yet disclosed how much he gets per episode on his new series.

Of course, there are his profits from finding gold with his company. Now, the majority of his income is from his many business pursuits. Todd Hoffman currently has a net worth of $7 million. Todd was the third richest miner on Gold Rush. Tony Beets is the richest gold miner with a $15 million net worth and Parker Schnabel with a $10 million fortune.

    Personal Life

Todd is married to Shawana Hoffman. They’ve been together for over 24 years. The couple has two children, Hunter and Hudson. Hunter occasionally shows up with his father on reality TV. Todd is a car lover, and he also owns a motorhome.
