Shark Tank Australia was canceled after four seasons despite being a popular show. Fans are still hoping to get a fifth season but it appears unlikely. Regardless of what the future holds, the Aussie Sharks are still wealthy. Here’s a list of the entire cast and their individual net worth.
Shark Tank Australia Cast Net Worth
1. Glen Richards – $400 Million
As one of the richest men in Australia, it’s no surprise that Glen Richards was picked to be a judge on Shark Tank. Glen joined the show in season two to replace the outgoing John McGrath.
Glen started out as a veterinary physician but later turned into a savvy businessman. In 1994, he founded Greencross which is now the largest pet care company in the nation. Greencross went public on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2007 and was acquired by TPG Capital in 2019.
He also built his wealth by becoming a director of Montserrat Day Clinics and PetBarn. On Shark Tank, one of his most profitable investments was the furniture startup OneWorld. These ventures have helped him generate an estimated net worth of $400 million.
2. Andrew Banks – $300 Million
Andrew Banks has his hand in several industries, but most of his success comes from the human resources sector. This was why he was invited to become a cast member on the show.
He had humble beginnings as an actor, but he fell in love with HR after working for an oil company called Elf Aquitaine. It inspired him to create Talent2 International, a management consultancy firm that started in 2003.
Before this, he was already a big-time venture capitalist and real estate investor. Andrew made one of the largest deals in Shark Tank history with iCapsulate but sadly the company went bust. Despite this, he has maintained a $300 million net worth.
3. Janine Allis – $70 Million
Janine Allis is a retail mogul who specializes in food and beverage products. At age 17, Janine worked as a media assistant, model, and assistant gym manager.
In 2000, she started a juice business from home and called it Boost Juice. The venture went on to become a successful franchise and now operates in 13 countries.
After success with Boost Juice, she formed a holding company called Retail Zoo with her husband. Retail Zoo is the parent company of other businesses including Cibo Espresso and Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill.
Her most notable Shark Tank deals are The T Lady, Her Fashion Box, and Pentablock. Janine Allis’s personal wealth is estimated to be around $70 million.
4. Steve Baxter – $50 Million
Steve Baxter is a highly respected tech entrepreneur and investor. He joined the army at a young age to participate in its apprenticeship program and became an engineer. Baxter appeared on all four seasons of Shark Tank Australia.
After his military service ended, he used his earnings to develop the internet service firm SE Net in 1994. He went on to launch PIPE Networks, River City Labs, and Right Pedal Studios. PIPE Networks is Steve’s main source of wealth as he sold the business for $373 million to SP Telemedia.
He was also one of the two investors who made a deal with arguably Shark Tank Australia’s most successful business, QPay. As a result, Baxter has an estimated net worth of over $50 million.
5. Naomi Simson – $40 Million
Naomi Simson is an inspiration to many female entrepreneurs. She is also a blogger, author, and media personality who was an original cast member.
Naomi made her millions by founding RedBalloon, which is known for selling experiences instead of gifts. She formed Big Red Group, a holding company to develop experience brands like Experience Oz, Lime&Tonic and Adrenaline.
With her fame, she has published three business-related books. She was Steve Baxter’s partner in sealing the deal with QPay on Shark Tank. Currently, her fortune is estimated to be $40 million.
6. John McGrath – $15 Million
John McGrath made his millions in the property business. However, he may not be very familiar to some fans as he left after the first season.
In 1988, John wanted to reinvent the real estate industry. So, he established McGrath Estate Agents, now known as McGrath Ltd. It’s currently regarded as one of Australia’s “largest real estate networks.”
Though his stint on Shark Tank was short, he still got to offer some deals on the show, most notably with Charli Chair. Today, he is still an active businessman with a net worth of $15 million.
