If you’re into strange but semi-brilliant Canadian humor, you probably know Kamilla Kowal from her oddball role in “Letterkenny.”
Nearly everyone in that show has an oddball role, of course, but Kowal has capitalized on her early exposure to build the beginnings of a career. She’s also gained a very different kind of exposure as a successful model.
Background
Born in 1998 in Ontario, Kowal focused on her education early on, and she’s been steadfast in her refusal to talk about her parents or her siblings in any meaningful way.
Kamilla went to secondary school at St. Benedict Catholic School, an experience that probably didn’t teach her much about the various bikini poses that have become a trademark of her social media accounts.
Acting Career
She’s become a bit of a star based on the romantic turn her character has taken in “Letterkenny, although her attempts to branch out for that show have been a bit underwhelming to date.
Kowal appeared in a sitcom that was creatively named “Sitcom,” and has had roles in several TV movies and a TV doc called “Web of Lies.” Most of her popularity as an actress stems from “Letterkenny,” which maintains a huge fan base in Canada.
Her modeling career has been noteworthy as well, but in a completely different way. She’s modeled on behalf of a number of companies, most notably Darling Clothes and Lowes, and luxury brands. On a lesser level, she was also tabbed winner of the Miss Greater Sudbury Pageant in 2020.

Kowal has refused to comment about any of this, so she probably knows that any publicity is good publicity, sort of. Regardless, they haven’t hurt her bank account as she’s worth an estimated $500,000. Right now, Kowal is also just coming into her peak earning years as a model and actress.
Her current boyfriend is Luke McCaw, a 26-year old former hockey prospect who attended Laurentian University. Luke’s hockey career seems to have fizzled, but he definitely scored big by landing Kowal, who frequently posts pictures of both of them on Instagram, which is a driving source of her ongoing fame.
Other pertinent details include the fact that she’s of Romanian descent, owns a Ferrari and plans to launch her own cosmetics brand.
“Letterkenny” wrapped up filming in 2020 but it feels like Kowal needs a breakout move as either an actress or model to reach out beyond the land of “O Canada” and become more than a Canadian celeb.
