Early Life
Jordan was born in Alberta, Canada and grew up in Fairview. His father Walter, was a school teacher, and his mother Beverley Peterson, was a librarian. He attended Grande Prairie Regional College after leaving Fairview High School in 1979. He studied political science and English literature and transferred to the University of Alberta to obtain a BA in political science.
