Infamous for doing stand-up comedy gigs shirtless, Bert Kreischer is an all-around performer. Apart from being a renowned comic, he is an actor, reality television host, and podcaster. This is why the nickname, “The Machine”, fits him so well. As of 2023, Bert Kreischer has a net worth of $5 million.
Early Life
Albert Kreischer was born on November 3, 1972 in St. Petersburg, Florida but spent most of his youth in Tampa. His father was a real estate lawyer, and his mother worked in early childhood development.
Kreischer studied English at Florida State University and became a fraternity member of the Alpha Tau Omega. Here he built his reputation as a party animal.
In 1997, FSU was rated the best “party school” in The Princeton Review annual list. At the time, Kreischer was in his sixth year and was considered the top partier at the school.
Comedy Career
Bert’s first encounter with stand-up comedy came at a Tallahassee pub named Potbelly’s. He moved to New York City in hopes of pursuing a full-time career and worked at the Boston Comedy Club.
During this time, he started performing shirtless. He became infamous for the story of how he earned his nickname, which included him getting involved with the mafia while on a school trip in Russia.
Though it’s just a story, and he most probably didn’t go to Russia, The Machine’s tale was a hit among comedy fans. With this, he got invited to appear on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Late Show with David Letterman.
Other Ventures
Kreischer’s media debut took place in 1985 as Chunk in the adventure movie “The Goonies”. As a stand-up comedian, he appeared in the DVD release called National Lampoon Live: New Faces – Volume 2 in 2004.
He slowly built his reputation and got his first special, “Bert Kreischer: Comfortably Dumb”, on Comedy Central. Later on, he picked up gigs outside of stand-up comedy. In 2020, he hosted the reality television series titled “Bert the Conqueror”.
Bert ventured into podcasting in 2012. He is now the host of Bertcast and co-hosts 2 Bears 1 Cave and Bill and Bert. In addition to this, he appears on other podcasts with Joe Rogan, Tom Segura, Ethan Klein and Tim Dillon. In 2018, he got his first Netflix special “Bert Kreischer: Secret Time”. Now he has three Netflix specials, Razzle Dazzle is his latest one.
Net Worth and Earnings
As a comedian and media personality, Bert is available for corporate and personal events. As of 2023, he charges $20,000 to $30,000 to speak at events. He could easily make over $50,000 per month from doing a few speaking gigs every month.
With his growing popularity, Bert has found new ways to make money. The Florida native has a merch store at store.bertbertbert.com, selling everything from hoodies to thermal mugs. He also tours regularly, has his own cruise show (bertkreischercruise.com) and runs a comedy festival called Fully Loaded Comedy Festival.
If this wasn’t enough, he also earns money from YouTube ads and does sponsorships with companies such as Better Help, Saatva and Manscaped. Kreischer’s fortune is valued at $5 million.

Now 50 years old, “the Machine” is still going strong. Bert is married to LeeAnn Kreischer, she is also an actress and podcast host. The two got married in 2003 and have two daughters named Georgia and Ila. The family lives in a $5 million mansion in Los Angeles, California.
