Below Deck has become a huge hit for BravoTV and the reality show is incredibly easy to binge watch. It has attracted a loyal audience who can’t get enough. Thankfully Bravo has launched four spin-offs to keep fans satisfied. With season 11 launching on February 5, 2024, now’s the perfect time to give an update on what some of the cast are doing now!
1. Rocky Dakota
Raquel “Rocky” Dakota was lively but polarizing during her stint on season 3. Rocky had the most memorable moments with her secret romance with Eddie and the scene of her diving off the yacht in protest of Chef Leon getting fired was hilarious.
Now 35 years old, Rocky currently works as a massage therapist in Hawaii and lives there with her boyfriend. Sadly in 2017, her younger sister Sophia passed away after a car accident.
2. Ashton Pienaar
Most remembered for his near-death experience in season six, Ashton Pienaar worked on the Valor ship as a deckhand. He was promoted to bosun on My Seanna after returning in season seven.
However, that became his final season due to his anger and drinking problems. Feeling the need to change his life, Ashton turned to health and wellness. He started a fitness coaching business called AP Elite, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The South African got engaged in 2022 to his partner Sarah McAlpine Cooper.
3. Ben Robinson
Ben Robinson was a yacht chef for more than a decade and was part of the original cast. He appeared from the first to the fourth season, meaning he cooked for the yacht passengers of Honor, Ohana, Eros, and Valor.
After the fourth season, it was time for the chef to return to live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His relationship with Emily Warburton-Adams didn’t work out and is currently dating Kiara Cabral. Ben now runs a successful catering business.
4. Eddie Lucas
Eddie Lucas joined the show as a deckhand in season one and made his first farewell in season three but returned as a bosun in season eight. Then, he was promoted to the post of First Officer in season nine.
Sadly, he announced that he would not be returning for season 10 because he didn’t receive an invitation from the producers. Eddie works on tugboats in Baltimore, Maryland and where he bought a house with his girlfriend, Natalia Inada.
5. Kelley Johnson
Kelley Johnson is a retired Marine who aided in the rescue of the renowned Captain Richard Philips. He first appeared in season two as a second engineer on Ohano and in season four as a bosun on Valor.
The former soldier decided to leave his reality television career to become a photographer, videographer, and off-screen captain in Fort Lauderdale. He also runs a small YouTube channel, mainly uploading content to help fellow veterans.
6. Nico Scholly
The adventurous Nico Scholly joined the Below Deck family when he signed up to be a deckhand in the fourth season. After one season, he was appointed lead deckhand.
He was a hard worker but got into a lot of drama during his final episodes in the series. Nico later went back to his home in Chicago, Illinois, to join his family’s plumbing company and help start a foundation for his late brother.
7. Adrienne Gang
Adrienne Gang was the first-ever chief stewardess on the reality show. She was only around as a primary cast member in season one and became friends with her old co-stars the following season.
She has stayed away from the limelight but remained a yacht stew and, eventually, served as a Yacht chef in Tampa, Florida. Adrienne got married to chiropractor Andrew Danks and sadly had a miscarriage. Gang currently hosts the Gangplank Report podcast.
8. Kate Chastain
The one who filled in the shoes of Adrienne Gang as the chief stew was Kate Chastain, who had a much longer stint on the show than her predecessor. She held onto her role from season two until suddenly leaving in season seven.
Kate moved to New York and started a SiriusXM radio show titled “Unapologetically Kate Chastain.” She also launched an events company, Remotely Possible Productions, and a non-profit store, Genesis Boutique. In May 2023, Kate welcomed a baby boy but hasn’t disclosed who the father is.
9. Wes O’Dell
Wes O’Dell was a low-key character, but fans loved his carefree attitude during his time on charter. He was hired to be My Seanna’s deckhand in season nine and fans were hoping for him to make a move on Jessica but it fizzled out.
He then went to the US Virgin Islands and is the captain of a sailboat, Nightwind II. Wes hired Gabriela Barragan from Below Deck Sailing Yacht to be his first mate, and the two developed a romantic relationship.
10. Adam Glick
Chef Adam Glick appeared in the main series’ spin-offs. He was first on Below Deck Mediterranean seasons two and three. Then, he transferred to the cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht for the first season.
He may not be on any sailing reality program now, but he hosts his own OutsideTV cooking show titled Stoked. He also teaches kids in Malibu, California how to surf and its therapeutic benefits.
11. Josiah Carter
Kate Chastain’s on-screen BFF was Josiah Carter, her second stew. Though Josiah was only in season six, he gained a strong following for his personality on the show. He was invited to be back for season eight, which didn’t happen because of the pandemic.
Josiah lives in Manchester, England, and enjoys keeping fans updated on social media, documenting his home renovations and travels across Europe. In early 2022, Carter got engaged to partner, Michael Groves.
12. Rhylee Gerber
Rhylee Gerber was a feisty deckhand who didn’t have the best time on the show. She was first featured in season six, working on My Seanna and her last appearance was in season seven.
Post Below Deck, Rhylee returned to her hometown in Alaska and started working on fishing boats. Later on, she started living in a van with her dog and traveled across the United States.
13. Ross Inia
Ross Inia seemed like a promising deckhand when he showed up in season six. However, his reality TV career was cut short after he was arrested for battery and disorderly intoxication in 2018.
In Inia’s defense, he stated that the case in West Palm Beach, Florida, was a huge misunderstanding. Currently, Ross is working on yachts with some fellow Below Deck alums and got engaged to his partner, Rachel.
14. Courtney Skippon
Courtney Skippon was recruited as the third stewardess in season seven. Mid-season, she moved up to become a second stew. Viewers liked her personality and relationship with Kate Chastain. Her on-screen romance with Brian faded out towards the end of the series.
After the show, Courtney took a break from sailing and went home to British Columbia, Canada. She now has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and has traveled to places such as Australia and Thailand. Courtney is still living at home with her family.
15. Tanner Sterback
It’s not far-fetched to say Tanner Sterback came aboard the Below Deck cast for fun. He was an energetic personality who caused drama during his time as a deckhand in season seven.
When the season came to an end, Tanner got in a serious skateboard accident and injured his arms and skull. He has recovered physically but was diagnosed with depression. He occasionally shares updates with his followers online and appeared on the podcast Altered Reality in 2021.
