Early Life
Terry J. Dubrow was born on September 14, 1958, to Alvin and Laura Dubrow. He grew up in Los Angeles, California, with his older sibling Kevin. The family is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent.
He attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for his medical degree. Later on, he studied for his master’s degree at Yale University.
Terry went on to pursue a general surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he served as the head resident. He finished his cosmetic and reconstructive surgery residency at UCLA Medical Center.

Then, the E! network recruited him to feature on Bridalplasty but it was dropped after one season. Next E! started another show, Botched and he co-hosted it with fellow surgeon Paul Nassif in 2014. Due to its success, they did a spin-off series called Botched by Nature, which aired in 2016.
Dubrow has starred in other shows, including Good Work, which ran for several months in 2015. His latest TV project is “License to Kill” on the Oxygen channel. In 2018, he published a book with his wife called “The Dubrow Diet,” and the diet is based on a form of intermittent fasting.
