    Ryan Serhant

Ryan Serhant is a well-renowned broker, founder, and CEO of the most-followed real estate brand in the world – SERHANT. To the general public, he is recognized for being an author, TV personality, and producer. He is featured in shows in line with his profession, such as the two-time Emmy-nominated program “Million Dollar Listing New York.”

Serhant was named 15th out of 100 of New York’s most successful real estate brokers. Being an expert at what he does, Serhant is a regular contributor to CNN, Bloomberg TV, and The Today Show. He has also found success in writing, with his first book, “Sell It Like Serhant,” being a best-seller on different book lists. As of 2021, Serhant has an estimated net worth of $25 million.

    Life Before Real Estate

Ryan was born on July 2nd, 1984, in Houston, Texas. The majority of his boyhood, however, was spent in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Serhant attributes his work ethic to his father, John Serhant. When John paid Ryan and his brother, Jack, $1.50 an hour to collect firewood and then sell it to their neighbors, he taught them the value of hard work at a very young age.

Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, provided Ryan with tertiary education. He joined the Delta Kappa Fraternity during his time there. He then went on to study English Literature and Theatre.

    Acting Debut

Believe it or not, Ryan Serhant didn’t start out in real estate. He began his work life in the world of acting. This may be the reason why he acts so naturally in front of the camera on his current TV programs.

In 2007, he received his first acting role. In “As The World Turns Out,” he played the role of Evan Walsh IV. However, as one may already guess by now, Ryan didn’t choose to pursue this career path.

    Shifting To Real Estate

Serhant entered the New York real estate market in 2008 against the backdrop of Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy and the sub-prime lending industry’s collapse.

During his first year, he only made $9,000. But things started to pick up after that. Ryan Serhant made incredible sales results. He sold property with a total worth of $100 million in his first two years.

    Founding His Own Brokerage

After spending years climbing the corporate ladder, Ryan decided to go out on his own. He started his own brokerage and named it SERHANT. It innovated using media and content development to change the traditional brokerage business.

At SERHANT, properties sell for millions of dollars. The 60-employee company broke records when it sold properties worth up to $99.9 million. These achievements gave Ryan the credibility to start selling courses that teach other real estate agents to dominate the market.

    Million Dollar Listings

By merging all of his passions, Ryan Serhant saw the potential to boost his career in the entertainment industry. In 2010, he auditioned for Bravo’s Million Dollar Listings, and he got the job. Now, the show is a huge hit. However, how much Ryan makes per episode is not public knowledge. Still, we can assume that he’s making good money as he’s been around since the first episode. In addition to a salary per episode Ryan also makes a 6% commission on every property sold – for every $1 million he makes $60,000.
