Serial entrepreneur Noah Kagan is the founder of AppSumo, a daily deals website for software. He’s known for being Facebook’s 30th hire and his contribution to Mint.com. Over the last few years he’s dipped his toe in the YouTube world and is starting to build an impressive following with authentic business related content. As expected, Noah Kagan has an estimated net worth of $45 million.

    Early Life

Noah was born on February 17, 1982 and is now 41 years old! He attended Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California and later studied Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley.

Kagan graduated in 2004 but before starting his career he was already working on some entrepreneurial ventures. In 2001, he founded an online newsletter called OkDork and still operates it today!

    Business Career

Kagan started working straight after college as a geography marketing analyst at Intel in 2004, working on supply chain optimization for Intel’s Pentium 4 chips. Around this time, he founded HFG consulting, a company that focused on connecting businesses with college students.

In 2005, he was hired by Facebook as a product manager and was their 30th hire. Zuckberg allegedly fired him for leaking company secrets. He rebounded nicely in 2006 and worked for Mint Software Inc. as their director of marketing.

He left Mint in 2007 to help found Gambit, a payments engine for social games that powered the likes of Zynga, Gaia Online and many more. The business reached $18 million in revenue and lasted until 2010. In April 2010, he founded AppSumo and the business has become hugely successful.

    Online Career

Noah uploaded his first YouTube video in 2011 to share AppSumo’s progress. In just a year, his software development app became a hit, and they were able to rent out an office space.

Noah Kagan’s channel continued to share business tips and some personal experiences. One story he told was how he accidentally became a crypto millionaire. Initially he was hesitant about Bitcoin but when he needed it to pay for an illegal Super Bowl stream, he bought some.

Kagan never expected crypto to become a major part of his overall fortune. These kinds of stories, along with interviews with the likes of Paul Orfalea and Jean Paul DeJoria have helped him attract over 824,000 subscribers.

    Net Worth and Earnings

It’s estimated that Noah makes $15,000 to $20,000 per month from YouTube advertising revenue. Kagan also revealed in a video, he spent $400,000 creating videos in 2021. However, he made the majority of his wealth as the CEO of AppSumo. AppSumo currently makes around $80 million in annual revenue according to a Forbes interview in 2022.

As for his crypto investments, he owned $2,000 worth of Bitcoin in 2016. But after seeing its potential, his crypto holdings increased to over a million. Currently, he makes $357,000 per month.

Kagan’s 9 income sources based on data from April 2022:

    1. Uniswap Liquidity Pools: Earning about $323 per month from liquidity pools on Uniswap, with an 18% return on approximately $19,000 invested.
