Minority Mindset is an entrepreneur and personal finance influencer with an estimated net worth of $2 million. He has worked hard to get where he is today and has dedicated his career to helping people build their wealth.
Most people grow up with an idea of what they want to be and Jaspreet Singh was no different. As a second-generation Indian, his parents being immigrants from Punjab, India, he grew up wanting to become a doctor.
However, life had other plans for him and while still in college, the young entrepreneur decided to start his first business at 17 and built an events planning company. This was his first experience in money management, and he eventually bought his first property a few years later for $8,000.
After finishing his degree, Jaspreet felt that he didn’t have a future with this company. So, he decided to pursue law school and continue running his business ventures. At 19 years old, he began investing in real estate but quickly realized he needed access to more capital to get a worthwhile return. Ultimately, he made the decision to return to entrepreneurship.
This was when he invented water-resistant athletic socks. But all was not well when a marketing company scammed him as he launched the company. The scam led him to lose thousands of dollars but inspired him to create the educational Instagram page he called Minority Mindset.
What started as a hobby to teach others to make better financial decisions blew up when he set up his YouTube channel. A turning point came as he hit the 100,000 subscriber mark, Jaspreet’s sock patent was rejected.
He was then forced to make a decision between his sock company or carrying on with Minority Mindset. While the sock company was financially successful, his YouTube channel wasn’t. After graduating from law school, he chose to go full time with his passion for Minority Mindset.
Despite not having any formal financial education, Jaspreet aimed to make financial education enjoyable and more digestible for the average person. He later on went and became the Chief Executive Money Nerd at the Minority Mindset Companies.
According to him, the majority of people would carelessly spend $200 if it was just handed to them. They would buy things that would decrease in value and would only give temporary enjoyment. However, for Singh, he puts his money into five different investments. They go to real estate, stocks, businesses, cryptocurrency, and things like physical gold. He invests in real estate because it delivers reliable income, and also provides legal tax breaks.
Now with a fortune worth $2 million, Jaspreet is a licensed lawyer, a serial entrepreneur, and the host of Minority Mindset on YouTube. His channel has amassed 1.67 million subscribers and over 154,000,000 views.
The Minority Mindset offers a variety of courses and newsletters to help people manage their finances in terms of debt, savings, stocks, retirement, and more. For example, through Market Insiders he offers weekly stock market and real estate coaching.
