Martell was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on January 4, 1982. The Huntsville native earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Alabama A&M University in 2008 and had aspirations to become a teacher.

He later established Holt Custom Homes, a separate Alabama-based business focused on building customised residential properties and the company most associated with him today.

• His ex-wife Melody, who built the same business with him, is estimated at $2.2 million. A 7–8x post-divorce gap between co-founders is implausible.
• Court records during the 2020 divorce filing revealed a $131,483 federal tax lien against the couple’s joint finances – businesses sitting on $20M+ in personal wealth don’t typically carry IRS liens.
• The marital home was listed for $1 million during the divorce – significant, but not “$20M lifestyle” territory.

Martell’s Private Life

Sadly, Martell Holt’s personal life is not as successful as his career. Martell had a five-year affair with Arionne Curry that ended his marriage. Over the last few years, the Holts have broken up multiple times. Melody and her children moved out of their home and into an apartment for six months before deciding to reconnect.

Following the birth of their daughter, the Holts appeared to be happy again but it was a temporary fix. In a YouTube video, they proudly revealed their baby girl to the world. However, this good news didn’t last, and they split up soon after. Martell briefly dated Sheree Whitfield but appears to have rekindled his relationship with Arionne Curry.
