Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, best known by his stage name Logic, is a successful rapper and producer. He initially achieved popularity with his mixtape series, Young Sinatra. He gained mainstream attention with his suicide prevention song titled 1-800-273-8255. As of 2023, Logic has a net worth of $14 million.
Early Life
Hailing from Rockville, Maryland, Sir Robert Bryson Jr. was born on January 22, 1990. It’s worth mentioning that “Sir” is his given name, not an honorific one. He grew up in a poor household and didn’t have the best childhood.
His father suffered from drug addiction and was mostly absent when he was a child. To make matters worse, his mother was an alcoholic. Both of them had new relationships, which gave Robert seven half-siblings. Logic later reconnected with his father as his rapping career took off.
In the 10th grade, he regularly skipped classes and was expelled from Gaithersburg High School. At 13 years old, he met his mentor, Solomon Taylor and left his mom’s home as he turned 17.
Career Beginnings
With the help of Solomon Taylor, the Maryland-born rapper created an unofficial mixtape, which earned him some local recognition. His first alias was Psychological, but later shortened it to Logic.
In 2010, he dropped his first official mixtape Young, Broke, and Infamous. However, it wasn’t until he released “Young Sinatra: Undeniable”, and “Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever” that he got to sign with the legendary label Def Jam.
This helped him create his debut studio album, Under Pressure, in 2014. His second project, The Incredible True Story, was released a year later. His third album, Everybody, features the 1-800-273-8255 song that touched the hearts of many.
Continued Success
He went on to create several albums that did well in the charts. In YSIV, he has a track called 100 Miles & Running. It features a verse where he spits 69 words in nine seconds. This is why some concluded that he was faster than Eminem in his notorious Rap God song.
In 2019, he published a novel titled Supermarket with a soundtrack of the same name. It was a New York Times bestseller, making Logic the first rapper to achieve such a feat.
In 2020, after completing his sixth album, No Pressure, the hip-hop artist announced his retirement. He came back after a year with his Bobby Tarantino III album. His latest project is the 2022 album Vinyl Days.
Net Worth and Earnings
Billboard claims that Logic has sold over 5 million albums. He also has 12.8 million monthly Spotify listeners. His music is undoubtedly his primary income source, but he has other ventures.
He is the first musician to sign with Twitch and has a personal YouTube with 3.34 million subscribers. The rapper also sells merchandise on LogicMerch.com. All of this, plus his book sales, gives him a net worth of $14 million.
Personal Life
After two years of dating, Logic married fellow musician Jessica Andrea in 2015. However, they divorced in 2018 and he married clothing designer Brittney Noell in the following year. The couple have one son named Bobby and the family lives in a mansion in Calabasas, California.
