People who soldiered through Iron Fist because you wanted to be fully up to date on all of Netflix’s Marvel shows for The Defenders rejoice! The trailer for Netflix’s latest comic book venture has been released, giving us our first look at this team up adventure.
To this point, Netflix has released four shows within the Marvel universe: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. These shows have a largely grittier flavor than the Marvel movie world, but have been mostly well-received by fans and critics. However, it has been known for a while that the eventual plan was for all the titular characters from those shows to come together to save New York City. It’s basically like a small-scale Avengers in television (or online streaming service) form.
In addition to Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones, actors such as Sigourney Weaver, Scott Glenn, and Carrie-Anne Moss are part of the Defenders universe. Check out the trailer for yourself to see if you’re interested in the further adventures of this superhero quartet. Also, it seems that the other Defenders dislike Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, just as much as you do. The show drops on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
