If you were looking to rennovate your home, now might be the time to do it.
During its First Look event at CES 2018, Samsung introduced a new 146-inch television, named The Wall, that can fit any new room. The Korean company said The Wall, the world’s first modular MicroLED TV, offers movie and TV buffs an “outstanding viewing experience.”
The Wall by Samsung comes with MicroLED and self-emitting technology, which will be much brighter, along with having better contrast, than current LEDs. This means watching Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi will look incredible on The Wall, that is, whenever the movie is released on high-definition.
What’s the best feature of Samsung’s new Wall TV? “Thanks to its module-based, bezel-less design, The Wall allows consumers to customize their television to the size and shape of their choice,” said Samsung. “The modular screen can be used to create a wall-sized display, or simply let consumers increase their traditional screen size to suit a new room in the home.”
“As the world’s first consumer modular MicroLED television, ‘The Wall’ represents another breakthrough,” said Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “It can be customized to any size and delivers incredible brightness, color gamut, color volume and black levels. We’re excited about this next step toward the future of screen technology and the remarkable viewing experience it offers consumers.”
Samsung is also adding its new smart assistant Bixby to its 2018 Smart TV platform, along with its latest technology SmartThings, which offers easier sharing, connectivity, and a better way to control the television.
We don’t have many details on The Wall by Samsung, but we should learn more information in the next couple of weeks.
