Early Life
Corey Harrison was born on April 27, 1983, in Las Vegas. His parents are Kim and fellow reality celebrity Rick Harrison. In addition, he has a brother Adam who sadly passed away and a half-brother Jake.
In 1989, Rick senior and his grandfather, “the Old Man” Harrison, established the iconic Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. Corey attended a private school and went to Lexington High School before dropping out in his junior year.
Career Beginnings
At nine years old, Corey was already helping out at the family’s pawnshop business. The store wasn’t an instant success and there wasn’t a full-time role available.
Once the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop gained traction, Corey took over the day-to-day operations, overseeing the store’s 30 employees. One of these employees is Corey’s loveable childhood friend Austin Lee “Chumlee” Russell. Despite some speculation, Chumlee and Corey are not blood-related.
It’s reported that Corey has made the most purchases and owns a 5% stake in the business. Rick is grooming Corey to one day run the entire shop.
Pawn Stars
As the store steadily earned success, the Harrison family decided to televise the daily operations of the store. This was why the History channel series Pawn Stars began airing in 2009.
On the show, Corey is often seen arguing with his co-owners. Harrison frequently clashes with his father and grandfather about the shop’s supplies, his obligations as a manager, and his sales expertise. Due to internal household conflict affecting the pawn shop’s future, the star briefly quit the show but the issue was resolved and Corey returned.
Net Worth and Earnings
Corey makes $25,000 per episode on Pawn Stars and features on many of Pawn Stars spin-off shows. He even made a cameo appearance on iCarly and iLost My Head In Las Vegas.
Additionally, there are his earnings as the manager of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. In the past, he co-owned a salon and nightclub called Beauty Bar. The business didn’t make worthwhile profits so Corey sold his stake in December 2019. Harrisons wealth is estimated to be around $4 million.
Personal Life
In 2009, Corey Harrison married his high school sweetheart Charlene. A year later, he got gastric bypass surgery and lost 50 pounds. Sadly, Corey and Charlene split up in 2015.
Corey rebounded and married Karina “Kiki” Harrison in 2017 but the marriage lasted less than a year. Outside of failed relationships, Corey experienced a serious motorcycle accident in 2014. Fortunately, he made a full recovery and now lives in a gated residence at 5860 N. Campbell Road in Las Vegas.
