As expected, Nintendo revealed a new mini console on Monday — the Super NES Classic Edition. Following the success of the NES Classic Edition, also known as the mini-NES, in 2016, Nintendo is taking the next logical step and releasing another console.

The mini console will include SNES classics such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart and Super Metroid. Retailing for $79.99, the Super NES Classic Edition will come with an HDMI cable, one USB charging cable with AC adapter and two controllers for classic multiplayer fun. “While many people from around the world consider the Super NES to be one of the greatest video game systems ever made, many of our younger fans never had a chance to play it,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With the Super NES Classic Edition, new fans will be introduced to some of the best Nintendo games of all time, while longtime fans can relive some of their favorite retro classics with family and friends.
And if you’re worried about the mini-SNES selling out quickly like the mini-NES did, Nintendo confirmed it would be making larger supply of consoles but didn’t reveal any specific numbers. “We aren’t providing specific numbers, but we will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition,” Nintendo said in a statement to Polygon.
