Kaley Christine Cuoco is an award-winning actress and producer who was first known for playing a major role in ABC’s 8 Simple Rules. But nowadays, she’s popularly recognized as Penny from The Big Bang Theory. Kaley Cuoco has been acting since the 90s and is still going strong.
The star was born in Camarillo, California, on November 30, 1985. Contrary to what many believe, William Shatner is not her father. Kaley’s real parents are Gary Carmine and Layne Ann Cuoco. Her sister, Briana, is a singer and actress.
As a kid, Kaley Cuoco had a wide range of interests. She was an amateur tennis player, and was very fond of horses as her father worked at a racetrack.
Modeling and acting were also two of her favorite passions. At the age of five, she was already starring in commercials. At 16, she graduated high school and didn’t pursue a college degree to focus purely on acting.

Perhaps her most successful role yet is playing Penny on The Big Bang Theory. Penny works at the Cheesecake Factory and aspires to be an actress. She lives across the hall from socially awkward physicists.
Cuoco had the opportunity to put her skills to use throughout 12 seasons, and she nailed it. For her effective portrayal, she got one Critics’ Choice Award, one Satellite Award, and two People’s Choice Awards.

On December 31, 2013, she married pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting but they divorced in 2016. She remarried in 2018 to Karl Cook and they split up in 2021. She adopted her first “baby” after the breakup, which was actually a rooster.
