Once part of the influencer group Vlog Squad, Jeff Wittek is a content creator, comedian, and podcaster. He is also a barber and created Jeff’s Barbershop, a show he hosts on his YouTube channel. As of 2024, Jeff Wittek has a net worth of $2 million. Jeff’s two main income sources are YouTube and jeffsbarbershop.com.
Early Life
Hailing from Staten Island, New York, Jeffrey Wittek was born on December 15, 1989. As a teenager, he earned money working at local barbershops and grew up in a rough neighborhood.
He graduated from Susan E. Wagner High School but didn’t attend college. Apart from cutting hair, the young man sold drugs and continued doing this when he moved to Miami, Florida.
In 2011, he was arrested for possession and relocated to LA after his release. His master plan was buying marijuana and shipping it back to New York.
Rise to Fame
Fortunately, Jeff started more legitimate hustles. In 2010, he featured in the 5th season of the reality TV show, Bad Girls Club. However, he didn’t make a good first impression on the show.
In 2012, he gained fame posting content on Tumblr and launched an online series titled Behind the Cuts. Here we got the chance to style hair for stars like Pauly D and Mac Miller.
Two years later, he moved to 1600 Vine, a Hollywood apartment complex where various internet celebrities lived like Jake Paul and King Bach. With this, Jeff Wittek’s celebrity status grew.
YouTube Career
Jeff’s YouTube channel has been around since 2011 but it wasn’t until he met David Dobrik in 1600 Vine that it began getting some traction. In 2019, he boosted his fanbase through creating a talk show titled Jeff’s Barbershop.
Around this time, he featured in many of David Dobrik’s challenges, including one where he got severely injured. In 2020, Dobrik drove an excavator and swung Jeff at dangerous speeds, which led to him falling into a lake.
This resulted in injuries to his hip, foot, leg, and skull. He documented his recovery and uploaded it to his channel. After leaving Vlog Squad, he created the Jeff FM podcast and it currently has 369,000 subscribers. Wittek’s main account is now home to 3.08 million subscribers.
Net Worth and Earnings
Based on 1 million views per month, Jeff Wittek’s YouTube channel earns around $60,000 annually in ad revenue. This figure doesn’t include income from the podcast. For dedicated fans, Wittek has a Patreon account with just one membership level.
He also sells merch and hair products on his website, JeffWittek.com. Jeff revealed in an interview that his online store did $200,000 in sales on the first day! His earnings do vary a lot but promotion from YouTube videos can sell 1,000 products in a day. One of their best selling products in the Clay Pomade.
The barber also earns extra income through brand partnerships with companies like Old Spice and Colgate. This is why his net worth is $2 million.
Personal Life
Jeff dated fellow influencer Cierra Ramirez in 2015, but broke up after three years. Wittek is currently single and focusing more on his career and health.
Although he has made considerable progress from the excavator incident, it still left him with lifelong brain injuries. In 2022, he took legal action by suing David Dobrik for $10 million in damages. Dobrik is worth $25 million so he could get a big payday from the lawsuit. No recent updates have been shared about the outcome of the lawsuit.
