Popularly known as iJustine, Apple fanatic Justine Ezarik is one of the earliest vloggers to share her daily life online. Ezarik has been on YouTube for over a decade and has over 1.4 billion views on her channel. Apart from making videos, she has appeared on several TV shows. As of 2024, iJustine has a net worth of $3 million. She earns income through YouTube ad revenue, brand deals, affiliate marketing and selling plugins.
Justine Ezarik was born on March 20, 1984, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and her family are of Slovak descent. Her parents are Steve, a coal miner, and Michelle Ezarik, a PE teacher. The 39-year-old has two younger sisters, Jenna and Breanne.
The Pennsylvania native discovered her passion for technology and Apple products when she got her first iPod. At 12 years old, she built her first website, called “I Hate Steve” and no it wasn’t about Steve Jobs. It was about a classmate who was giving her a difficult time.
She grew up in Washington County and attended Bentworth High School. Justine graduated with a degree in Digital Communication and Media from Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2004.
Ezarik started out as a freelance video editor and graphic designer. Being self-employed isn’t an easy gig but she thrived as her own boss. In 2006, she set up her YouTube channel and called it iJustine.
In 2007, she volunteered to work with internet entrepreneur Justin Kan on Justin.tv. During this time, she was among the first people to vlog about her daily life. Nowadays this is a mundane thing but back then it was unique!
Ezarik revealed in a video that she had a brief “encounter” with Steve Jobs in the Apple cafeteria. Her obsession with the Apple founder became a source of humor for fans and false rumors spread about Steve Jobs having a restraining order against her.
Her channel is filled with lively tech-related content, as well as gaming and beauty content sprinkled in to add some diversity. This helped her attract over 7.1 million subscribers!
Before hitting the big time on YouTube, Ezarik was a finalist in an online video competition sponsored by Yahoo! While rising to fame, she also got more acting gigs.
Ezarik made her TV debut in 2007 with a minor role in a Spike TV drama series called The Kill Point. Later that year, Ezarik became a panel member of MacBreak on Twit.tv.
As her career developed, she made cameo appearances on The Vampire Diaries, Law and Order: SVU, Escape Routes, and more. In 2015, she published a book appropriately named “I, Justine: An Analog Memoir.”
Net Worth and Earnings
iJustine’s channel currently receives over 130,000 views per day according to SocialBlade.com. Assuming an $8 CPM, she should be making over $1,000 per day with YouTube ad revenue. The CPM for tech videos tends to be higher, so potentially she could earn a higher amount.
In addition to ads, she earns income from brand sponsorships with major tech companies. Examples of recent brand deals include Google and Anker. Unfortunately, Apple has never sponsored her!
She also makes money through selling plugins on MotionVFX and runs a podcast called Same Brain. With her undisclosed earnings from acting and extra income through book sales, this gives her an estimated fortune worth $3 million.
In 2008, Ezarik was romantically linked to Justin Fishner-Wolfson and Brian Pokorny. However, the YouTuber has never confirmed having a relationship with either of the two.
Still, it is known that the blonde beauty dated YouTube employee Ryan Wyatt from 2012 to 2015. Apparently, she’s been single ever since, but other things happened in her life. In 2022, iJustine was hospitalized due to a blood clot and has recovered from the ordeal.
