Ubisoft’s been making quite the push to get more players into their melee-focused combat game For Honor. First they outlined a detailed development schedule aimed at injecting a number of fixes and fresh content into the game; then they took the wraps off Grudge & Glory, For Honor‘s third major DLC drop. If all that wasn’t enough to get potential fans to pick up their swords, spears, and spiked maces, today the publisher announced a free weekend.
Taking place August 10th-13th, the promotion will give players unlimited access to the game’s full slate of content, including five multiplayer modes, the campaign–playable solo or cooperatively–as well the entire roster of heroes that have been released and updated since launch. The free weekend leads right into the launch of the aforementioned Grudge & Glory season, which lands August 15th.
In addition to the announcemet, Ubisoft provided the following details.
“New players will be able to pre-load the game starting August 7 at 9PM PDT on PlayStation 4 and Uplay. Those looking to extend their experience on the battlefield can purchase For Honor for 50-percent off across all versions of the game between August 10 and August 20 for consoles and August 10 to August 14 for PC. Players who purchase For Honor during the free weekend will see all their progress carry over. For all details on the For Honor free weekend, please visit www.forhonorgame.com/freeweekend.”
