Hello Neighbor puts you into the role of a suspicious busybody, sneaking into your neighbor’s house to see what he’s hiding in his basement. If you’re new to the stealth-horror game, it’ll take some time to figure out how to work all of the controls, and sneak into your neighbor’s house. To save you time, we’ve put together tips that will help you move around the PC version of Hello Neighbor.
When you start Hello Neighbor, you’ll be thrown into the middle of the street, where you have to figure out what to do on your own. This can be quite confusing for those who didn’t have the opportunity to check out DynamicPixels’ beta for Hello Neighbor. But, that’s why we’re here!
Hello Neighbor: How To Sneak Into Your Neighbor’s House
How To Run And Jump Down The Street
To run down the street in Hello Neighbor, hold down Shift, the up arrow, and hold down W to go straight. Hit A to move left, D to move right, and S to move back. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be running around in no time. There’s plenty of fences in your neighborhood, so if you have to jump to get away from your neighbor, hit the space bar.
How To Open Your Neighbor’s House
To open your neighbor’s house, simply tap E and the door will open. The music playing in the background will give you the impression it’s not a good idea to sneak into your neighbor’s house, but you’re going to enter, anyway. You’ll have to be quiet though, as you don’t want to let your neighbor know that you’re sneaking around in his house.
How To Pick Up Items
In the various rooms, you’ll see plenty of items in boxes or on top of tables. Some items you’ll be able to pick up, but others you won’t. To pick up small or large items, tap E. To use an item, click on the left mouse button, and to drop/throw an item, click on the right.
We’re still playing Hello Neighbor, but be sure to check back for more tips. Hello Neighbor is available for Xbox One and PC.
