The Oppenheim Group continues to expand real estate operations on their Netflix show, Selling Sunset. One of the latest additions to the cast is realtor Chelsea Lazkani. She debuted in season five as a fierce real estate agent and caught the attention of viewers. As of 2023, Chelsea Lazkani has a net worth of $1 million.
Early Life
Lazkani was born on January 26, 1993 in London, United Kingdom. Raised by Nigerian parents (Elizabeth and Segun Adefioye), she grew up in North West London.
Her mother was a business executive and her father was a real estate developer and architect. Her parents’ jobs became a huge inspiration for Chelsea’s future career choice. Lazkani attended the University of Buckingham and earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
She got a master’s degree in Oil and Gas Economics from the University of Dundee, Scotland. The British beauty traveled to LA for a short stay but ended up settling there permanently.
Career Beginnings
Chelsea didn’t immediately dive into the property business after college and worked in the oil industry. She worked for various companies as a corporate strategist and solar analyst. In 2017, she got her real estate license at the age of 29. Since then she hasn’t looked back!
Lazkani first joined Rodeo Realty in 2017 and worked with a wide range of clients, including first-time homebuyers and developers. Rodeo Realty is a well-known LA based real estate brokerage, the same broker that employed Josh Flagg. After three years, she left to join The Oppenheim Group.
Joining Selling Sunset
The Oppenheim Group recruited Chelsea Lazkani in 2021 and got the attention she craved as a cast member on Selling Sunset. Chelsea was introduced to Jason Oppenheim through her husband Jeff Lazkani. Jeff had previously used Jason as an agent previously.
She entered the show in its fifth. Chelsea was seen as courageous, and formed an unexpected friendship with Christine Quinn, the show’s villain. A new agent was needed to help breathe life into the show as it was becoming stale. Christine’s rivals, Emma Hernan and Chrishell Stause, also established a good bond with the star.
Net Worth and Earnings
Despite her appearance, Chelseas has the sales skills and entrepreneurial drive to back it up. Lazkani sold nearly $10 million in her first year as a real estate agent. That’s not an easy feat to accomplish, especially for beginners without any connections.
As a reality TV star, she also gets paid for appearing on Selling Sunset. However, as a new cast member, her per-episode pay hasn’t been revealed yet. Currently, the reality TV personality has an estimated net worth of $1 million.
Personal Life
One of the factors that made Chelsea stay in Los Angeles for good is her husband, Jeff Lazkani. They got married in 2017 and are now raising two children: Maddox and Melia.
Jeff appears with his loving wife in Selling Sunset, but he made his money as a managing partner of Icon Media Direct. Jeff reportedly has a $5 million net worth.
