Austen Kroll is a TV personality and social media influencer famous for appearing on Southern Charm and Winter House. He is also a craft beer enthusiast and expert, having launched his own brewery in 2019 and the Trop Hop Beer beer line.
The Bravolebrity also co-hosts the Pillows and Beer podcast with his best friend, Craig Conover. Austen successfully translated his reality TV success into financial success. As of 2023, Austen Kroll has an estimated net worth of $1 million, making him the 8th richest cast member on Southern Charm.
Austen Kroll is one of the few on the Southern Charm show who were born into wealth. The North Carolina native was born in Washington, D.C. on June 16, 1987. His dad, Tom, was an FBI agent while his mom, Wendy, sold software solutions.
Kroll graduated from the University of Alabama with an MBA. Austen also studied at the Anglo-American University of Prague for a semester while he still was at the University of Alabama. Growing up the reality star’s biggest hobbies were hiking and golfing.
Contrary to public expectation, Austen has never relied on his family’s wealth since he reached adulthood. The Charleston resident who was always interested in the beer industry started his career as a banquet server at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Colorado. Following that, he moved into the brewery business as he became a bar manager at Roast Public House in Madison, Wisconsin.
After a while, he resigned and got a job as a cellar man at the Palmetto Brewing Company, in Charleston. In 2016, Austen moved to Marietta, Georgia as a territory sales manager at the Red Hare Brewing Company, a prestigious local independent microbrewery. Following that, the businessman relocated to Charleston, where he established Kings Calling Brewing Co. in 2019.
The Bravo star has big plans for his company, which he wants to expand to Greenville, Spartanburg, and Columbia. Aside from his business ventures, Austen is well-known for his roles in Southern Charm and Winter House, where he quickly ingrained himself and charmed many of the female cast members.
The entrepreneur joined Southern Charm in its fourth season and earns $25,000 per episode every season. Although it’s not known how much revenue his beer company generates, he should earn a nice living from it. The beer is popular with the locals and mainly stocked in grocery stores in his area.
In June 2021, the Pillows and Beer podcast co-host announced that he bought himself a grand home in Charleston to celebrate his birthday. Thanks to his gig on TV, podcast, and brewery Kroll is worth $1 million.
Austen’s love life has always been controversial. From Chelsea Meissner to Madison LeCroy, Victoria Bolyard, Ciara Miller, and more, the Southerner has never had a problem getting a girl. His latest relationship with Olivia Flowers appeared to be more genuine, despite their highs and lows, which were exacerbated by Austen’s previous relationships.
The couple was first linked in late 2021, but their relationship was only confirmed in May 2022. The duo however split up unexpectedly, with Olivia confirming in September that they are no longer together. Meanwhile, Austen remains optimistic about the possibility of reuniting with his ex-partner.
