How to Play Apex Legends: A Beginner’s Guide and Tips

    KeithBy KeithSeptember 25, 2017

Apex Legends is one of the best first-person shooter battle royale games in the world right now, there is no doubt about this. Its continually rising number of downloads is enough evidence of its popularity. But being popular doesn’t mean easy to play, and that statement could not ring truer than with Apex Legends.

While being a fun game, Apex Legends could be problematic for new players to get used to. It is not a game where one can just go guns blazing and score some kills and perhaps even a few victories. That does not happen with Apex Legends. That is why it is crucial that one is familiar with not only the gameplay but some tips and tricks as well that will help make the gameplay relatively easier for one to get used to. Also, one can search for the best Apex Legends hacks on sidegamer.com and install some hacking tools that will assist them in the gameplay.

So, if you are new to this game, then here are some things that will surely help you out.

    1. Characters

Apex Legends has fourteen different playable characters for one to choose from. These characters, called legends, have their own unique skills, traits, and abilities that distinguish them from every other playable character. These characters’ choices can easily make or break your gameplay as besides their mentioned abilities, everything is the same in the gameplay. That is why it is critical that you make the right choices while choosing the legends to play as. For example, if you are an aggressive player who constantly likes to bombard enemy lines, then Bangalore and Wraith are more suitable for your gaming style. Similarly, if you want to play cautiously, Bloodhound and Gibraltar would be a better match choice.

    2. Stay with the Jumpmaster

Like many other games in the first-person shooting battle royale genre, Apex Legends starts with a drop, but there is also a twist. In Apex Legends, one player in the team of three is designated as the jumpmaster, and it is they who are responsible for choosing the jumping destination. Now while you may disagree with the choices made, or maybe you have seen other teams heading in the same direction, do not give in to the temptation and split from your teammates mid-flight. This would be just a disaster in the making. A 3v3 battle would give you good enough odds compared to the 1v3 battle you would face if you tried to go solo. So pro-advice, stick with your jumpmaster at all costs.

    3. Stick with your teammates

Even after landing, you must stick with your squad and gather as much loot as possible in the shortest amount of time. However, one should keep in mind that this does not mean that you have to tiptoe behind your squamates. You can move away, especially when looting, as you would want to gather as much loot as possible quickly but stay in close contact with each other so your teammates can support you in case of an attack.

    4. Make use of abilities.

Do not forget that your characters have abilities that you can use and turn the tide in your favor immediately. It is a common mistake made by many beginners as they take Apex Legends as a typical battle royale first-person shooter game, and while it is one among them, it also allows gamers to make use of special abilities at any time they see fit in the gameplay.

    5. Strategize a plan of action

While Apex Legends seems a fast-paced game, and it is a fast-paced game, but that does not mean that there is no place for one to strategize their plan of action. One can and must create a strategy to tackle every offensive action taken by the enemy squad. This creates a pattern of teammates getting familiar with their role when in combat.

    6. Pick items and weapons carefully.

You must keep a critical eye on the items you are picking up along the way, as they will take the precious space in your backpack. That crucial space would be better served if one stores extra ammunition for their weapon. It is a common occurrence for beginners that they run out of ammo when engaged in a firefight. That is why it is essential that one keeps an eye on their weapons and ammo during the gameplay.

    7. Learn the map

Even for veteran players, this is sage advice as the newest updates to the game have added some new respawn points in the game. By understanding the intricacies of the map, one can easily navigate no matter where they have respawned and also make a quick getaway if they are under attack. Even a second of difference can make the difference in Apex Legends, and learning the map sure does that.
