Andreas M. Antonopoulos was born in London on January 30, 1972. As you could guess from his surname, he is of Greek descent. His family relocated to Athens during the Greek Junta.
Antonopoulos spent his youth there until returning to England when he turned 17. In 1991, Andreas went to University College London and studied Distributed Systems as well as Computer Science and Data Communications.
Antonopoulos got a bachelor’s degree in 1993 and picked up his master’s degree in 1993. The following year, he served as a research fellow at his university until 1996.
