Standing at 3’2, Abdu Rozik has captured the attention of many by being the world’s smallest singer. But that’s not all he’s famous for. In early 2021, this little performer made news as a video of his upcoming fight announcement with Hasbulla Magomedov garnered millions of views and reactions on social media. Because of his entertaining personality, many are interested in getting to know him. So, let’s dive right into it.
Abdu Rozik’s Backstory
Rozik is 19 years old (as of 2023), but he may not look like it due to his medical condition called “Dwarfism.” He was born in 2003 to a family in Gizhdarva, Tajikistan.
When he was diagnosed with rickets as a child, his family couldn’t afford to pay for his treatment. As a result, his growth became stunted and by the age of 16, he only weighed only 12 kilograms.
Starting a Music Career
For this young man, illness won’t stop him from reaching a path towards stardom. Apparently, a Tajik blogger and rapper named Baron (Behruz) thought the same.
Baron was the first to recognize Rozik’s potential and he encouraged the teen’s father to let his son pursue a music career. He was the person who arranged his medical evaluation in order to treat his disease. And right now, he is the one who financially supports Rozik in Dushanbe City.
Social Media and Fame
Abdu Rozik uploads his official rap tracks on a YouTube channel called ‘Abdurozikofficial‘ with over 887,000 subscribers. Rozik’s song ‘Ohi Dili Zor,’ which was released in 2019, is close to reaching 8 million views. He and Baron, along with other guests do fun vlogs on the channel.
The baby-faced icon has an Instagram account with about 7.3 million followers and 528 posts. On August 3, 2021, at the Millenium Palace Hotel, Rozik organized a meet and greet session to talk to his supporters personally. However, Rozik has more than just fans.
The teenage superstar has friends all around the world, as evidenced by the fact that he has posted films alongside Persian fighter Mohammad Heibati. He has met several sports stars including Mo Salah and boxer Amir Khan. Abdu has also been invited to the private Belhasa farm of Dubai.
Fight Against Hasbulla
A major catalyst of Abdu Rozik’s rise was the potential MMA fight against Hasbulla, the little martial artist dubbed “Mini Khabib.” But when is it happening exactly? Ashab Tamaev, a Chechen MMA fighter, had declared that the two would exchange blows very soon. However, the bout never took place for reasons that were not shared publicly.
Still, many speculate that one factor of the fight not coming to reality may be from the backlash online. The brawl sparked a protest. The Russian Dwarf Athletic Association was against the idea of two teenagers with dwarfism fighting for the entertainment of others.
