The news that Arrested Development is returning for a fifth season on Netflix was exciting, at least for those of us who weren’t disappointed in the fourth season. Plus, even if you didn’t thing season four was great, how can you be mad about more adventures with the Bluths? Jeffrey Tambor, who plays the family’s patriarch George, recently chatted a bit about the upcoming season in an interview, and he mentioned one notable thing that will likely come up in the new episodes: The proposed, profoundly idiotic border wall.
“We’ll probably be doing some wall stuff,” Tambor said, although he didn’t elaborate much further. However, what more really needs to be said? The current President of the United States, noted Home Alone 2 actor Donald Trump, has made (absurd) claims about building a gigantic wall on the border between America and Mexico. Of course, way back during Arrested Development‘s run on FOX, the Bluth family got themselves involved in some sordid building projects as well. George built some houses for Saddam Hussein in Iraq, although it turned out the United States government was involved and, well, it’s a long story. You should probably just watch the show, because it’s great.
If anybody is likely willing to try and take on the task of a border wall, it’s the Bluths, namely George. Although, what will that mean for sales of the Cornballer south of the border? The Mexican government also once helped George fake his death? Could he really turn his back on them? Yes, of course he could. Especially if Gob also gets involved.
