GameStop is holding another special Pokémon distribution event for May, and if you’re looking to complete your Pokédex, you’ll definitely want to get in on it. The Rock-type Midnight Lycanroc will be available via special code at select stores throughout the United States beginning on May 15 continuing throughout June 5.
Midnight Lycanroc will come equipped with the Hidden Ability called No Guard, which will guarantee a hit on your opponent every time. Unfortunately this also extends to your opponent’s attacks too, so it’s something of a double-edged sword. It also comes with a Life Orb item that will add on a percentage of additional damage with each attack, though it’ll sap some health as each round passes. Additionally, Midnight Lycanroc knows Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Sucker Punch, and Swords Dance.
When you get your code for Midnight Lycanroc, use it via the Mystery Gift option from the main menu screen. You can choose to receive your gift via code, and after you do so you’ll need to pick up Lycanroc at any Pokémon Center in the game. If you find yourself struggling within the confines of the game without a Pokémon to back you up in certain situations, this special pick-up is a formidable choice.
There have been several past releases for Pokémon Sun and Moon before, and it’s likely there will be several to come, so make sure you don’t miss out on Midnight Lycanroc as it will only be available for a limited time, and it won’t be back. Gotta catch ’em all!
