Paladins, a fantastical shooting game where you can play as assorted odd characters, has proven quite popular. It was apparently the most-popular new game on Steam in 2016, but let’s say that you’ve been itching to give the game a try on your console of choice. Well then there’s good news for you, as Paladins is now available in an open beta form for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The game trumpets the fact you are allowed to customize your characters, or “Champions” as they are known in the realm of the game. Also, they call the world the “Realm.” You are able to tweak the look of whichever of the 24 playable “Champions” you choose, as well as customizing their card-based powers. Some people say the game is too similar to Overwatch, but the Snorks were super similar to the Smurfs, and you could still enjoy the Snorks.
“After welcoming more than 8.5 million PC players to Paladins, we are excited to bring console players into the Realm. Now console players will be able to experience the deep customizability of Paladins, the only shooter that lets players play exactly how they want to play,” said Todd Harris, the Executive Producer of Paladins and Chief Operating Officer of Hi-Rez Studios. If you haven’t given Paladins a try yet, and you have a PS4 and/or an Xbox One, now’s the time to give it a shot. And check out the trailer below if you need more convincing.
