Verizon announced its Wear24 smartwatch a few months ago, but it didn’t have any details like a release date. On Monday, the wireless carrier said its Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch will officially go on sale on May 11th. Verizon’s Wear24 smartwatch features the latest version of Android Wear, so you’ll have Google Assistant right by your side.
The Wear24 smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 290 PPI resolution. The device also has a 450mAh battery with wireless charging, and is water resistant so you don’t have to worry if it gets wet. The Wear24 also comes in three different colors: Stainless Steel, Gunmetal Black, and Rose Gold. Since Wear24 is connected to your smartphone’s number, you’ll be able to receive texts and calls from the watch with that number, even if you forgot your smartphone. Verizon’s Wear24 smartwatch will be available in stores and online for $249 starting May 11.
