On Friday, Hulu announced a deal with A+E Networks, which brings six more channels to its service, including A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN, FYI, and VIceland.
“As we begin to finalize our new live TV service, we’re pulling together the most valuable, well-rounded package of channels available for under $40,” Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins said in a press release. “We know the A+E Networks brand of award-winning storytelling is important to our viewers and we’re very excited to add their networks to the core service we launch this spring.”
The deal follows Hulu’s agreements with CBS Corporation, 21st Century Fox and The Walt Disney Company, which add 40 networks, including broadcast networks CBS, FOX and ABC; Fox Sports networks such as the Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 and BTN; ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN-SEC and ESPN 3, and Fox Regional Sports Networks across other key national markets. Other popular cable TV channels arriving to Hulu’s TV service include Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior; Fox News and Fox Business; Freeform; FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild.

A&E offers popular shows including, “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath,” “Project Runway,” “Unreal,” and “Married at First Sight.”
Hulu is still negotiating with Discovery Communications, Scripps Networks Interactive, and AMC Networks. While it has not reached an agreement with NBCU, its expected to be reached later this month.
